Private Prostate Cancer Centres in Central London

All  the private prostate cancer centres in Central Londson are listed here. Although the Royal Marsden is an NHS cancer hospital, it has a very large private wing, so it is included.

Note, several NHS Trusts have private wings, they are not listed here. Further, they offer exactly the same treatments as to their NHS patients.

All these private centres include private hospital provision of Radiotherapy both IMRT, stereotactic external-beam radiation therapy SBRT , also known as Stereotactic ablative therapy  including Cyberknife, and, Hormone therapy and Chemotherapy. further, all the centres in Central London provide surgical oncology, including Focal Therapies and Robotic Assisted Laprascopic Prostatectomy (RALP).

Note, King Edward VII hospital  does no offer radiotherapy but it is the private centre of excellence for Focal therapies and also offers RALP. (See Focal therapy and robotic prostatectomy where to access pages.

Very new treatments, such as MR Linac, also known as MR guided Radiotherpy (MRgRT) is only available at the Marsden and the Cromwell hospitals.

The nearest Proton Beam Therapy centre in at the Rutherford Cancer Centre in Reading. STOP PRESS 7th JUNE 2022. Rutherford has announced it is going into administration. We will give further information on services as we get it.

Note a Clinical Oncologist is primarily a  specialist in Radiotherapy. Medical Oncologists are specialists in Hormone and Chemotherapy. Typically, Medical Oncologists deal with advanced disease, so they have been listed below Clinical Oncologists.

Where applicable we have provided the NHS information as well as the private hospital where the Physicians work. Remember, you are perfectly entitled to ask to be referred to those Physicans on the NHS.

There are four private centres, The Royal Marsden private wing and the London Clinic, and two networks of private hospitals who operate in central London offering these services. The networks are GenesisCare at the Cromwell Hospital and the HCA cancer network of hospitals.
