Where to access Image Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT)
The majority of NHS Trust hospitals
Just about all NHS Trusts throughout the country are now equiped to provide IMRT therapy for prostate cancer patients.
Either look on your local NHS website to confirm availability or check via their Oncology and Radiotherapy departments. PHONE THAT DEPARTMENT IF YOU ARE STILL UNSURE. You can always ask to be referred to an NHS Trust that does have IMRT capability.
Most NHS Trusts provide a list of Oncology Consultants. You can google each of then to decide who you would prefer to be referred to.
Private treatment
IMRT and IGRT are available from the private wings some large NHS teaching hospitals and a few large private hospitals.
There are private cancer centres run by Genesis Care (formerly Cancer UK) in conjuction with regional private hospitals who provide private cancer treatment.
The website page Where to access private non surgical Prostate cancer treatments provides information on these centres and the Consultant Oncologists who practice at them.
You can click the button below to access the page.
